Dear Prof Frans Viljoen and Mr Martin Nsibirwa;
It takes courage and deep human understanding to go against
convention. And convention is that Somaliland is not a recognised
country despite obvious requirements that it has met for recognition
as a state in respect of international law standards. To choose
a student from such an unrecognised country is a sign of courage
and understanding. We are grateful for your constant support
to our people.
We could have not been better without such unfailing efforts.
That is a sign of men committed to the idea of justice, peace
and the right to self determination. It tells me that you go
to bed and think about human rights progress within the African
continent. Your visit to Somaliland was meaningful to us and
we wish you could consider having a piece of land there and
live with us. Feel free to come again and we would also be at
your service.
Thank you very much once again for the promising work you’ve
done for Somaliland and it’s people. In the future, we
hope that we will keep on selecting prospective students from
Somaliland as this will help our people and country to develop.
Thank you
Yours sincerely
